Join us as a producer of the Theatre Series season! Donations help support expenses related to producing, such as artist fees, sets, costumes, makeup, props, royalties, scripts, etc. Producers Circle donations also support the marketing efforts for each production. In addition to raising the quality of work we produce and offer throughout the season, you directly support initiatives to increase awareness and knowledge-sharing between WICA and the community.

Planned Giving:

Bequest
A bequest is the easiest and most meaningful way to provide for WICA's future. A bequest is a gift made through your estate. It may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of the estate, or a remainder after other distributions have been made.

Charitable Gift Annuity
In exchange for cash or assets, WICA agrees to pay a fixed sum of money to the donor for the duration of the donor's life, after which the remainder is left to WICA.

Charitable Remainder Trust
Transfer your assets into a trust, which pays income to you (or other designated beneficiaries) until the trust terminates and the remaining principal is left to benefit WICA.

Life Insurance
Life insurance provides security for a growing family and support in times of need. It can also be used to make a gift to WICA. Options include naming the Center as the beneficiary of the death benefit or transferring ownership of an existing policy to WICA.

Retirement Accounts
Naming WICA as a beneficiary of an Individual Retirement Account or other qualified retirement plan is a simple way to include the Center in your estate plans.

Please Note: Distributions from retirement accounts made to 501(c)(3) charitable organizations are generally tax free. Please consult your tax professional for advice about your situation.

HONORARY AND MEMORIAL GIFTS
Are you puzzled about what to give friends or family members who “have everything”? Consider making donations to WICA in their honor and acknowledge their special days: birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, or whatever they are celebrating.

You will receive a receipt for your donation and your friends will receive personal letters from WICA telling them that you have made these thoughtful gifts in their names. Or, if you would like to remember someone who loves the arts and WICA during his or her lifetime, you can make a gift in that person’s name. What a beautiful tribute to their memory!

The amounts of your contributions will be kept confidential, unless you request otherwise.

CApital campaign

WICA opened its doors in 1996, fulfilling the dream of creating a Center for the Arts to thrive on South Whidbey. Over the following ten years WICA became a major artistic and cultural destination, and it was clear that growth was needed. In fall 2007, WICA’s “Stage Two” capital campaign was launched, improving existing space use and adding critical infrastructure and facilities. Beginning in 2015, WICA’s “Raising The Star” Campaign will tackle four specific needs:

  •  Upgrade technology to improve WICA’s functional and  presentational capabilities
  •  Repair and replace aging infrastructure
  •  Enhance public spaces
  •  Retire the debt incurred to complete “Stage Two”

When you look to the sky at night, what do you see, twinkling? Stars... And WICA has a whole constellation: the stars onstage and the quiet technicians behind it; the hundreds of volunteers who help greet, serve, and give so generously of their time; and the innumerable patrons from our community and all over the world. “Raising The Star" is an opportunity to share in the passion of   supporting an organization that touches so many, that makes magic happen on stage and off, inside and out.

No gift is too small; every gift will have an impact. Your support has always been instrumental in keeping the Arts alive on Whidby Island - join us now in Raising the Star! Please contact WICA to make your pledge today: 360.331.8262 or info@wicaonline.org
