Audition Notice: Non-Union. Paid.


WhidbeyTV is seeking actors for Ship Ahoy, a new scripted children’s television series. Auditions will be held at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts (WICA) in Langley, WA on Monday, May 2nd, from 2-6pm. Callbacks TBD. 

Ship Ahoy is a nautical-themed, whimsical, musical children’s series that follows the adventures of Captain Callie and her crew. The show will shoot in July & August with some time commitment required in May and June. This is a non-union, paid gig. 

WhidbeyTV is seeking actors for the following roles:

Kids: 

Joe, male, age range 14-16 to play younger. Must sing and dance. 

Mariah, female, age range 14-16 to play younger. Must sing and dance. 

Both Joe and Mariah are energetic, positive kids who love to sing, dance and use their
imaginations.

 
Adults:


Russell, a puppet, male, vocal age range 20-40. Russell is Captain Callie’s first mate. Must be
able to do an Australian accent, sing and puppeteer. 

Penny, a puppet, female, vocal age range 20-50. Possibility of dual role with Iris. Penny is the
jolly postmistress. Some singing required. Must be able to puppeteer. 

Iris, a GPS-like machine, female, vocal age range 20-50. Voice acting only. 

Please bring headshot, resume and 16 bars of an upbeat song to the audition. An accompanist will be provided. Please be prepared to read from sides.
