For over twenty years, the Hedgebrook Women Playwrights Festival has proudly supported the creation and development of hundreds of new theatrical works by some of the most exciting playwrights of our time—who have gone on to become Pulitzer Prize, Tony, Obie, Emmy and Golden Globe award winners, as well as McArthur Genius Fellows.
Be the first to see new work by Ruby Rae Spiegel, Lily Padilla, Alexa Junge, Jessica Huang, and Karen Hartman partnering with cellist Neyla Pekarek. Hedgebrook partners with regional theatres across the country with strong track records of commissioning and producing new works by women playwrights. This year’s festival partners include Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, ACT Theatre, Denver Center Theatre, Goodman Theatre, and the Seattle Repertory Theatre.
