Gloria Borger, veteran Washington, D.C., reporter, commentator, and television news analyst, comes to the WICA stage on May 4 as part of Robert Merry’s political conversation series. Borger currently is chief political analyst at CNN, where she is seen frequently on Wolf Blitzer’s “Situation Room” and Anderson Cooper’s “AC360,” as well as other primetime news programs. She has been a mainstay of CNN’s political coverage since 2007. Before that she was co-anchor of a news program called “Capital Report” on CNBC, political correspondent for CBS, reporter and columnist for U.S. News & World Report, and chief congressional correspondent for Newsweek. Borger has received numerous awards for her television work, including a National Headliners Award and an Emmy nomination for her 2010 piece for CNN, “The Odd Couple,” profiling attorneys David Boies and Ted Olson. She is a graduate of Colgate University.
