Robert Merry in "Conversation on the State of American Politics" with David Horsey

  • Whidbey Island Center for the Arts 565 Camano Avenue Langley, WA, 98260 United States (map)

We turn the tables on Whidbey’s Robert Merry, our frequent stage interviewer of notable Washington players, and force him into the interviewee position to talk about his latest book, President McKinley: Architect of the American Century, as well as his take on where the country is headed under Donald Trump, how Trump got elected, and the underlying forces of American politics in these turbulent times. Merry will be interviewed by David Horsey, three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist for the Seattle P-I and L.A. Times. Merry is the Northwest native who spent nearly 40 years in Washington as Wall Street Journal reporter, Congressional Quarterly publisher, and commentator before returning to the Puget Sound region in 2013.
