Embrace the Arts Gala and Auction

We are moved and inspired by the generosity of everyone who demonstrated their commitment to improving the social, economic, and artistic life of our community through their gifts during Embrace the Arts Gala and Auction!

Over the course of one evening, more than 125 people contributed a total of $326,000.

Thank you!

These gifts ensure that Whidbey Island Center for the Arts will continue to serve as our island's cultural cornerstone, further our mission to produce, present, and support exceptional works that celebrate our community’s artistic excellence, and enhance partnerships with local schools and other regional arts organizations.

We would like to extend special thanks to our gala co-chairs Karen Leeds and Judy Morton for their vision and dedication; Blue Dog Catering for the delicious dinner; the artists from Sex, The Photographer, and Next to Normal for sharing their talents; and the gala volunteers for taking such good care of us during the evening.

No thanks would be complete without mentioning the incredible members of the Paul Schell Producers' Circle, KCTS 9, and Platinum Sponsors ArtsWA, the City of Langley, Island County, the National Endowment for the Arts, The Goose Community Fund, and WESTAF.

Thank you for all that you do every day to support and nurture art in our community!

The WICA Board of Directors and Staff

If you were unable to attend, we invite you to make a gift now.

The WICA board and staff cordially invite you to our most glamorous and magical evening of the year. Our 24th annual Embrace the Arts Gala and Auction includes a champagne celebration, silent and live auctions, a gourmet dinner, and performances by special guests.

For more than 20 years, Whidbey Island Center for the Arts has produced, presented, and supported exceptional works that celebrate our community’s artistic excellence. The arts center would not be able to make its long lasting and important contributions to the social, economic, and artistic life of our community without the support of our gala attendees and their generous gifts made during Raise the Paddle.

Festive Dress is suggested.
